disebabkan entry sebelum ini pasal pisang goreng sambal kicap Johor tu, ada yg suruh aku buat entry sambal kicap..
disebabkan dua hari berturut aku kemaruk sambal ni..so gigih ok...amik gambar.
so..ni la dia...sambal kicap Johor versi catz miow-miow..

Sambal kicap Johor

Nak buatnya senang je. Bahan pun sikit je.
resepi versi catz:

Bahan-bahan:

Lesung
cili api - satu genggam
bawang putih 2 ulas
kicap manis (aku suka kicap manis, if nak guna yg masin oso can...sukatik).

Cara-cara:

Tumbuk cili api hingga lumat dgn bawang putih tuh sekali. Ha..exercise ni...kuor muscle segala..
Oh ya..proses ni agak kritikal ye...berhati2..if boleh guna perisai ke, dikuatiri biji lada terpelanting/fly/terebang masuk mata, nangis cik Kiah karangggg... aku siap pakai perisai plastik... he-he-he.
If ada goggle fancy-fancy tuh,/ swimming goggle tu boleh gak pakai..demi keselamatan dua biji mata...ye. (wow..menumbuk sambal with style yo!)..kelaszzz ko cik Kiah..
(nak blend boleh tapi rasanya tidak sesedap yg ditumbuk guna kederat tangan sendiri...oke.)
Aku suka tumbuk kasar sket, i mean still nampak lagi struktur cili tuh..(seperti dalam gambar).
then, amik bahan tumbuk tadik, masukkan dlm mangkuk kecil dan bubuh kicap manis.
Terpulang nak banyak mana, agak-agak le kan.
siap...!
Boleh di ganding dgn tempe goreng. Lebih best if tempe tuh goreng kosong je..
cicah...uwahhhh.......

tempe goreng

jemput makan...!

Swine influenza

Just to share the info, from the WHO website - about the swine influenza/ swine flu.

http://www.who.int/csr/swine_flu/swine_flu_faq.pdf

Swine influenza frequently asked questions
27 April 2009
• What is swine influenza?

Swine influenza, or “swine flu”, is a highly contagious acute respiratory disease of pigs, caused by one of several swine influenza A viruses. Morbidity tends to be high and mortality low (1-4%). The virus is spread among pigs by aerosols, direct and indirect contact, and asymptomatic carrier pigs. Outbreaks in pigs occur year round, with an increased incidence in the fall and winter in temperate zones. Many countries routinely vaccinate swine populations against swine influenza.
Swine influenza viruses are most commonly of the H1N1 subtype, but other subtypes are also circulating in pigs (e.g., H1N2, H3N1, H3N2). Pigs can also be infected with avian influenza viruses and human seasonal influenza viruses as well as swine influenza viruses. The H3N2 swine virus was thought to have been originally introduced into pigs by humans. Sometimes pigs can be infected with more than one virus type at a time, which can allow the genes from these viruses to mix. This can result in an influenza virus containing genes from a number of sources, called a "reassortant" virus. Although swine influenza viruses are normally species specific and only infect pigs, they do sometimes cross the species barrier to cause disease in humans.

• What are the implications for human health?

Outbreaks and sporadic human infection with swine influenza have been occasionally reported. Generally clinical symptoms are similar to seasonal influenza but reported clinical presentation ranges broadly from asymptomatic infection to severe pneumonia resulting in death.
Since typical clinical presentation of swine influenza infection in humans resembles seasonal influenza and other acute upper respiratory tract infections, most of the cases have been detected by chance through seasonal influenza surveillance. Mild or asymptomatic cases may have escaped from recognition; therefore the true extent of this disease among humans is unknown.

• Where have human cases occurred?

Since the implementation of IHR(2005)1 in 2007, WHO has been notified of swine influenza cases from the United States and Spain.

How do people become infected?

People usually get swine influenza from infected pigs, however, some human cases lack contact history with pigs or environments where pigs have been located. Human-to-human transmission has occurred in some instances but was limited to close contacts and closed groups of people.

Is it safe to eat pork and pork products?

Yes. Swine influenza has not been shown to be transmissible to people through eating properly handled and prepared pork (pig meat) or other products derived from pigs. The swine influenza virus is killed by cooking temperatures of 160F/70C, corresponding to the general guidance for the preparation of pork and other meat.

Which countries have been affected by outbreaks in pigs?

Swine influenza is not notifiable to international animal health authorities (OIE, www.oie.int), therefore its international distribution in animals is not well known. The disease is considered endemic in the United States. Outbreaks in pigs are also known to have occurred in North America, South America, Europe (including the UK, Sweden, and Italy), Africa (Kenya), and in parts of eastern Asia including China and Japan.
1 International Health Regulation (2005) http://www.who.int/ihr/about/en/

What about the pandemic risk?

It is likely that most of people, especially those who do not have regular contact with pigs, do not have immunity to swine influenza viruses that can prevent the virus infection. If a swine virus establishes efficient human-to human transmission, it can cause an influenza pandemic. The impact of a pandemic caused by such a virus is difficult to predict: it depends on virulence of the virus, existing immunity among people, cross protection by antibodies acquired from seasonal influenza infection and host factors.

Is there a human vaccine to protect from swine influenza?

There are no vaccines that contain the current swine influenza virus causing illness in humans. It is not known whether current human seasonal influenza vaccines can provide any protection. Influenza viruses change very quickly. It is important to develop a vaccine against the currently circulating virus strain for it to provide maximum protection to the vaccinated people. This is why WHO needs access to as many viruses as possible in order to select the most appropriate candidate vaccine virus.

What drugs are available for treatment?

There are two classes of such medicines, 1) adamantanes (amantadine and remantadine), and 2) inhibitors of influenza neuraminidase (oseltamivir and zanamivir).
Most of the previously reported swine influenza cases recovered fully from the disease without requiring medical attention and without antiviral medicines.
Some influenza viruses develop resistance to the antiviral medicines, limiting the effectiveness of treatment. The viruses obtained from the recent human cases with swine influenza in the United States are sensitive to oselatmivir and zanamivir but resistant to amantadine and remantadine.
Information is insufficient to make recommendation on the use of the antivirals in treatment of swine influenza virus infection. Clinicians have to make decisions based on the clinical and epidemiological assessment and harms and benefit of the treatment of the patient2. For the ongoing outbreak of the swine influenza infection in the United States and Mexico, the national and the local authorities are recommending to use oseltamivir or zanamivir for treatment of the disease based on the virus’s susceptibility profile.
2 For benefits and harms of influenza-specific antivirals, see http://www.who.int/csr/disease/avian_influenza/guidelines/pharmamanagement/en/index.html

How can I protect myself from getting swine influenza from infected people?

In the past, human infection with swine influenza was generally mild but is known to have caused severe illness such as pneumonia For the current outbreaks in the United States and Mexico however, the clinical pictures have been different. None of the confirmed cases in the United States have had the severe form of the disease and the patients recovered from illness without requiring medical care. In Mexico, some patients reportedly had the severe form of the disease.
To protect yourself, practice general preventive measures for influenza:
• Avoid close contact with people who appear unwell and who have fever and cough.
• Wash your hands with soap and water frequently and thoroughly.
• Practice good health habits including adequate sleep, eating nutritious food, and keeping physically active.

If there is an ill person at home:

• Try to provide the ill person a separate section in the house. If this is not possible, keep the patient at least 1 meter in distance from others.
• Cover mouth and nose when caring for the ill person. Masks can be bought commercially or made using the readily available materials as long as they are disposed of or cleaned properly.
• Wash your hands with soap and water thoroughly after each contact with the ill person.
• Try to improve the air flow in the area where the ill person stays. Use doors and windows to take advantage of breezes.
• Keep the environment clean with readily available household cleaning agents.
If you are living in a country where swine influenza has caused disease in humans, follow additional advice from national and local health authorities.

Apa ada pada nama??

cekodok bawang emas

so aku ON lappy ni...and tetiba rasa nak menulis...eh..nak menaip.
Tajuknya..pasal nama.

Nama tu sgt penting ye tak...dari nama lah kdg org tak kenal muka pun excited nak tau orgnya yg mana. Dulu kat tempat kerja aku, ada sorang tu nama dia...Cik Serri Chemp@k@. Aku dan kawan-kawan sellau je dpt e-mail dari dia ni, tapi tak tau yg mana orgnya sebab organisasi aku ni ada dua plant. So kalau duk forward2 e-mail tuh kdg kita bukan kenal. Tapi sebab nama dia unik kami nakkkkk sgt tahu orgnya yg mana. Kalau nama dia Rokiah ke, Azlina ke, Nurul ke, kami tak excited kot nak tau. Akhirnya setelah setahun lebih, baru aku tau yg mana orgnya. Dengan penuh excited lah kan..
oooooo..yg itu orgnya. Ternyata yg empunya nama juga, agak unik juga orangnya. Tak payah lah aku describe. Andd..ironinya...tetiba aku terbeli apartment yg bernama Seri Chempaka. he-he.

Eh..
aku bukan nak cerita pasal nama orang lah. Apa ke melalut ni.
Now..ekonomi agak gawat juga kan. Tapi perasan tak...(ke aku je yg perasan hal ni)..makin banyak pengusaha makanan, dari restoran sampailah gerai kecil tepi jalan. lately, aku selalu ke Bangi, or lebih tepat lagi Bandar Baru Bangi.
Banyaknya pengusaha stall yg jual single menu..contohnya, gerai goreng pisang, laksa, Jambu , mee rebus.
Bukan asal pacak je gerai jual pisang goreng orang datang berduyun. Lokasi pun memainkan peranan. Menu pun memainkan peranan. DAN lately, yg aku perasan, NAMA pun memainkan peranan.

Aku agak terkesima bila aku lalu kat satu area tu, minggu lepas. PISANG GORENG PONTIANAK. ohhhh??? Pontianak??? aku terus toleh...eh.aku nampak 3-4 org berkerumun kat gerai tu. Ehm....aku tetiba mcm nak stop, tapi dah terlepas pula. Nak rasa pisang goreng PONTIANAK. Bijak jugaklah penjual tu bagi aku. Sebab, ramai je org jual pisang goreng kat area tu, cuma strategi dia ialah pada NAMA gerai dia. Kreatif.(walaupun..aku pun tak tau lah apa kaitan pisang goreng dgn Pontianak..korang tau?)

Selain tu, ternampak gerai jual MEE REBUS KRIUK-KRIUK (dgn font yg menggambarkan ke-keriukan yg melampau)... hehehhe..mungkin kalau dia letak nama GERAI MEE REBUS, aku tak de rasa nak beli kot. Tapi disebabkan ada KRIUK-KRIUK, terus rasa..eh nak try laaa.... dan font kriuk2 tuh amat menggiurkan, sampai terpikir..wow..kriuk-nya...apa yg kriuk sgt tuu???
Nantilah bila-bila aku nak singgah beli.

Dan...disebabkan aku anak jati Johor yang merantau (chewaaahhhh), aku rasa bangga bila 4 hari yg lalu..aku nampak gerai goreng pisang. Nama gerainya berbunyi " PISANG GORENG - sambal kicap Johor"...aku terus rasa mcm nak berenti beli, tapi sebab kenyang, dann oh..rupanya tuan punya gerai tgh duk mengemas daaa..dann..bukan satu gerai tau..ada dua gerai yg sama di kawasan berhampiran.Kiranya kan..melambak je org jual pisang goreng, tapi disebabkan tagline "sambal kicap Johor" aku rasa org akan pi gerai dia. Spesel sgt ke sambal kicap Johor?..ha-ha..org Johor tau lah. Sambal itulah yg best utk makan pisang goreng dan TEMPE GORENG u ols. baru ni..ada seorang kawan yg bila dia tau aku org Johor + Jawa, dia tanya.." so..u boleh ke gorengkan saya tempe dan buat sambal kicap Johor?" ... dalam hati aku jawab.. " Nyahh..tuh pejam mata je mak boleh buat"..i mean....kalau org Johor..sure tauuuu buat benda ni...
dia ckp... "macamana ye?..i buat tak jadi la..." ..err...entah ye...setau aku lah...resepinya..cuma cili api+bawang putih = tumbuk dan pastu buh kicap. (ke ko nak tgn Jawa aku ni jugak yg buat?). or dia nak ckp yang org johor je yg boleh buat sambal kicap yg ori dan sedap meletopss?..tetiba aku rasa idong aku kembang kejap. he-he.
Pointnya.. nama "sambal kicap Johor" itu sgt ada value...kan,..so..sapa kata nama tak penting??
Penting tau...baru le pisang goreng ko ada nilai tambah..omputeh ckp, added value ye?

Satu lagi..aku ingat..emas je yg ada nama 916 lah....925 lah...Lately..ni yg aku nampak..kat area Bangi lah...JAMBU PAK CU 916. Ha..yg ni aku dah pernah beli...sedap. Aku tergerak nak beli sebab..mcm ada something lah disebalik nama..916 ko....mak hengat emas je yg ada gred gitu..hehhehe.,...sebenarnya..jambu tuh sama je kot dgn jambu lain..cuma re-branding tuh..bubuh nama..menyebabkan ianya nampak mcm benda yg best.Dan tetiba bila makan, aku rasa best. Siap beli sekali air jambunya . Kira teror lah adik yg jual tuh kempen aku suh beli. (eh..aku kalau bab mknn tak yah nkempen pun aku beli.ha-ha..tak yah bazir air liur..)..
so again..nama sgt penting utk membezakan produk kita dr produk org lain...
utk tarik pelanggan kena bubuh nama atau tagline yg catchy..he-he...

ehm...cekodok kat atas tu.... cekodok bawang yang aku buat ptg tadi utk minum petang. Oke tak kalau aku bukak stall cekodok ..."CEKODOK BAWANG EMAS - Bawang dipetik dari kebun Jamie Oliver". Korang berenti beli tak?..kesian le kat aku. Beli ye.

tata. dah menguap 15 kali.
apa la aku merapek ni.

seafood BBQ

Sabah memang terkenal dgn seafood.
Aku tgk kat blog org, kalau pi KK, salah satu benda yg derang makan ialah seafood BBQ dekat Filipino market.

Pelancong yg lalu depan restoran seafood ni mesti berenti nak amik gambar, termasuk aku.

Aku jalan kaki je dari hotel ke tempat makan dkt Filipino market tu. Sebelah jugak dgn pasar malam depan Le Meridian tu..jln relaks2...dah sampai. Sambil menikmati pemandangan malam..
lalu dekat area Restoran kat waterfront..lalu depan Plaza Warisan etc.

Macam nilah suasana tempat tuh...gerai-gerai menjual seafood bakar..merata-rata...ada yg dah siap bakar, ada yg belum bakar..pilihlah ikut selera. Ada pelbagai jenis ikan, sotong, udang, etc.

pilihlah yg mana berkenan..

Ni suasana tempat duduknya. kat depan org bakar-bakar,kita ckp nak yg mana...duduk tunggu. derang akan hantar nasi if u ols nak makan nasi. Atas meja dah disediakan air minum (air masak), dan air tin etc. Kalau nak order air lain just panggil je pelayan.

Sambil menunggu, boleh le buat sos pencicah. Mula-mua aku blank gak. Tapi tgk org buat aku pun ikut-ikut.Atas meja tuh ada kicap dlm botol, ada sambal dlm bekas, ada limau, ada cili api. So sukati leh nak buat sendiri sambal pencicah tuh. Aku patah2kan cili, buh kicap, perahkan limau...

meriah sgt tempat makan ni..

Ni ikan yg fresh..pilih jenahak suruh dia bakar..

siap sudah, jenahak, sotong dan jugak udang..make sure tanya harga dulu sebelum order tuh..

udang ni RM10.00 each

tinggal tulang....

tempat ni meriah dengan pelancong dan penduduk tempatan

peniaga yg sibuk membakar seafood dan menarik pelanggan..

makan..makan...

Malam kedua aku dtg lagi makan kat sini. Mulanya dah plan nak dinner kat hotel je..tapi aku dah muak. so jalan kaki gigih jugak hokey ke tempat ni...worth lah for nice food.

second night, makan ikan baulu, ikan putih, sotong dan udang lagi..

di samping seafood ada dijula makanan tempatan..

ehm..nyummmm

ikan baulu (mcm ikan terubuk) dan ikan putih..

udang ..RM25 each...

sotong bakar

ikan baulu

jemput makan...

Oh di tempat ni sangat ramai org jual chicken wing. kat sini derang panggil 'sayap'. Sabah mmg terkenal dgn ekpak ayam bakar.Derang siap buh signage, "HALAL". so aku try lah..beli dua ketul. seketul RM1.20. Aku mkn kat bilik smabail tgk drama.. sedappp..

ada juga satey dan lain-lain makaanan local...

jemput makan....!!
